About Us

Our mission is to personalize every “soiree”, mindful that each client has a unique vision, budget, and set of planning and coordination preferences, while remaining flexible to accommodate your changing needs throughout the planning process.

Luna Soiree was created because of my passion for people and watching them enjoy life’s special occasions. While learning the business of event planning, I grew to love it, and truly enjoy having the ability to get personal and creative. Working with large companies however, it seemed my mission didn’t match the “mass production” mentalitys.

I wanted to be able to work with everyone, regardless of budget, and find a way to make their vision a reality. I wanted something different–something with a more personal touch and genuine enthusiasm.

Thus, Luna Soiree was born…

Hi! I’m Kaeli. Owner and Lead Planner here at Luna Soiree Events. A few things I love: smiling at strangers, hugging people I just met, making elaborate and overly emotional toasts, drinking a bottle of luscious wine with a rich imported cheese, creating (and eating) the perfect sandwich, sunbathing while sitting on the beach listening to the waves, slow-dancing, sleeping in, passionate kisses, and planning and executing wildly successful weddings and events.

I am a born people-pleaser, and did I mention that I love my job? Making someone’s day better is such a great feeling, and I get to do that on one of the most important days in their life! I am kind of obsessed with detailing the perfect timeline, love the thrill of finding someone the perfect linen or a kick-ass deal on something that is going to add just the right touch to their event, and pairing our clients with the most ideal team of event professionals to match their personality.

I started my first company in 2003, producing Cabaret shows, and found a love of being behind the scenes, rather than on-stage, creating an environment where people could have fun, be in love, and “enjoy the show”! It was there I realized how much goes in to “setting the stage” for an event, and I quickly began learning the wedding and event industry. I have been producing, managing and creating unique events ever since, and Luna Soiree Events was born in 2008 out of genuine enthusiasm, and a desire to provide that personal touch.

I live in Ann Arbor with my incredibly clever, caring and talented daughter, who challenges me everyday to be a better mother. friend. human… and my amazing guy who loves me, (despite the fact that I do not clean bathrooms and rarely do laundry.)

I want to hear about your wedding or event day vision. I want your planning experience to be stress-free and enjoyable, and the occasion to be fun, successfully memorable, and precisely as YOU would enjoy it most.

Cheers,

Kaeli Garcia

Libbie Bollinger began her career in event planning after graduating from Albion College with a BA in Art History and French. While in her hometown of Ann Arbor she found a love of working with clients to create memorable events.

A venture to San Francisco opened her eyes to a passion for the fashion industry while managing a high-end woman’s clothing boutique. Moving back to Ann Arbor in 2008, Libbie still enjoys professions where she can be creative and collaborative. Currently she holds a position as Engagement Manager at NewFoundry, an idea manufacturing company based in downtown Ann Arbor that specializes in marketing, brand development and application design, while continuing to work with Luna Soiree as Event Manager.

A longtime career goal of becoming a Registered Dietician has led her to pursue a degree in Dietetics, currently beginning with classes at WCC and Eastern Michigan University. You may also spot her running around Ann Arbor training for a marathon or at the WCC ceramics studio making pottery. Libbie also enjoys traveling, gardening, baking bread and experimenting with cooking.

A diverse background and a passion for dedicated, personalized service make Libbie a great addition the Luna Soiree team.

Emma is a recent graduate of Eastern Michigan University where she majored in Public Relations and minored in Psychology. She is an animal lover, shopaholic, health food and exercise enthusiast, book worm and lover of all things glittery.

While at EMU Emma was very involved in her sorority, Alpha Xi Delta, and held many positions including President. She was also the events intern at the Alumni Relations Office. It was through her heavy involvement in her sorority and internship that she discovered her love for the fast pace world of event planning.

Emma’s favorite part about planning weddings is knowing that you are assisting in making someones dream come true. Emma has always been a big fan of fairytales so she loves the idea of creating a little fairytale ending for every bride.

Emma currently lives in Saline where she grew up. She loves Michigan and all of the beautiful seasons but hopes to some day move to California. She wants to spread her wings and see all that the world has in store for her. With most of her family being in Michigan, she plans to eventually move back to raise a family of her own.

Kelsey is in her junior year at Central Michigan University majoring in Communications with a double minor in Event Management and Apparel Merchandising. Her favorite part about weddings is seeing the bride and groom make their first grand entrance as a couple into the reception–music choice is key, as it sets the mood for how the whole reception is going to go. She completed a full event internship in 2014 with the Luna Soiree Events team, and will return as an Assistant Event Coordinator in 2015.

Kelsey is an active member of the Alpha Sigma Tau, Beta Chapter where she was just elected as Director of Sisterhood. She will be in charge of planning activities and events, and is excited to create opportunities for the growth of the sisterhood, utilizing her creative skills and knowledge of professional event planning.

She has a passion for the wedding industry and in her free time you can find her checking out greenweddingshoes.com and watching shows like “Four Weddings” and “My Fair Wedding with David Tutera”. She loves: fashion, taking photos, hanging out with friends and sisters, playing soccer, and watching romantic comedies. Oh, and if you can’t find her, she is likely trolling for cool finds and crafts at Jo-Ann Fabrics.

Jenine Rowe is the newest addition to the Luna Soiree team. She is a recent graduate from Michigan State University and brings a detail-oriented perspective from her advertising, marketing and public relations background to events.

Her inspiration for venturing into the event industry is her dedication to making others happy and seeing your vision come to life. Being an avid fan of movies and shows such as the “27 Dresses” and TLC’s “Say Yes to the Dress,” has also fueled her passion for the industry.

Jenine likes to continuously be on the run by dividing her time between Luna Soiree Events and being a member of the marketing team for The Princeton Review. She is still attempting to adjust to all the maize and blue in the area, though she will always “bleed green.”

Coming from a large family, she has learned that having a passion for something makes you work harder and have fun while doing it. Jenine will always bring a contagious smile to your event.

Sarah is a senior at the University of Michigan concentrating in Communication Studies and Psychology. Her favorite part about being an intern at Luna Soiree is getting to see how happy the clients are when everything comes together on the day of their special occasion.

Before joining the Luna Soiree team, Sarah worked as a public relations consultant for the university’s fashion and culture magazine, SHEI Magazine. This allowed her to gain some experience with the elements of event planning, which is what sparked her initial interest in the field.

In addition to event planning Sarah also enjoys working on television broadcast productions. She works as the sideline reporter and production assistant for the Big Ten Network’s Student U crew. In her free time Sarah also enjoys painting and reading novels. She is also an avid sports fan.
